Below follows a list of some very important things to remember when planning your Wedding and setting your timeline.
– Venue choice
When choosing your venue, always remember that natural light is like a magic fairy godmother that makes life a lot easier for your Photographer. It helps us is many ways and that automatically improves your images.
– Your dressing room
If your venue does not have a pretty Bridal suite, please consider booking yourself in at a Guesthouse nearby. Your Photographer gets to capture such beautiful shots while you and your girls are getting ready and while your hair and make-up is done.
If you are going to be a lot of people getting ready in the Bridal suite PLEASE appoint a Bridesmaid to make sure the room stays neat and tidy during the preparation. There is nothing that looks as bad as bags, undies and clothes scattered all over the background while you are putting on your Wedding dress.

– Bridesmaids
You chose your Bridesmaids for a reason, ask them to handle certain tasks for you on the day so that you can relax.
– Being on time
Please make sure you send your Photographer your timeline for the day so that he/she knows where to be at what time. It is recommended that you discus your timeline when meeting your Photographer. If you are booking your Photographer way in advance please just make a note to email the timeline to your Photographer or get your Wedding planner to send it to your Photographer as soon as times have been finalised.
If you are having an afternoon Wedding, please remember that sticking to your timeline is very critical; if you are late it cuts “daylight” time for photographs which means that you will lose shots. The light might still look great to you but for the camera it is a lot darker even though we use flashes as fill-light.
These photos are the most important ones of the day so your Photographer would like to spend some time with you and your husband capturing those magical moments. The more relaxed time you provide us with, the better for you.
The images you see on your Photographers BLOG took time to capture and were not taken in a rushed 15min.

– Telling your photographer what you want
Most likely your Photographer captures a lot of Weddings each year. Each Bride and Groom has their own wants and needs regarding the photos.
Please don’t hesitate to discuss these needs and wants with your Photographer. When viewing your Photographers BLOG you will see what your Photographer captures on Weddings. If you require for example a photo of your dress hanging in a tree outside and you don’t see it on your Photographers portfolio it is because it might not be his/her style or taste, so please notify your Photographer that you would like a shot like that.

– Family Photographs
When it comes to photographing the family its best to make a list of what family photos you want and get your MC or someone who knows the family to help your Photographer get the right people for each photo. We don’t know everyone at your Wedding so assistance will be appreciates greatly.
